About the Author

Lillie Wright is an autistic author known for her unique blend of trauma-informed realism, dry wit, and deeply compassionate portrayals of resilience, disability, and found family. Drawing inspiration from her own life as a disabled woman, Wright brings honest lived experience to every project. Beyond her writing, Wright has spoken on local, national, and international stages, including Brilliant Minds 2025, where she spoke alongside Bitty & Beau’s Coffee Co-Founder Ben Wright on the importance of disability employment and the value of neurodiversity in the workplace. She resides in Wilmington, North Carolina, with her Mini Bernedoodle, Rosie. When she’s not writing, she enjoys crocheting, exploring downtown Wilmington, and spending time with her family, particularly her two youngest siblings, Beau and Jane Adeline, who both have Down syndrome. Their perspective has profoundly impacted her advocacy and writing style.

Lillie leans against a large magnolia tree and smiles at the camera. She is wearing a navy blue t shirt and blue jeans with gold and white sneakers.
